Briscoe earned three top-10 finishes in 15 races with Target Chip Ganassi Racing in 2005, including a pole at Infineon Raceway. He also started four races for Dreyer & Reinbold in 2006.
Hornish Jr. will drive in the NASCAR Nextel Cup for 2008 as a third team in Roger Penske's NASCAR stable along with Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman.
